Word on the Williams

Well, I've finally started something that I said I would NEVER do...a
blog :-) I haven't been very good at sending out pictures and updates, so I thought this would be an easy way for me to accomplish that. The accountant in me feels very strange starting this at such a random point in the year (I'm usually a monthly, quarterly, annually type of person...yes, I just admitted that!)...so I'm going to play catch up with this first post and take you back to January 1 - don't worry, I'll give the summarized version :-) Buckle your seat belts...here we go!

April Highlights...

Of course the biggest highlight of April was Easter. Our Easter celebration went on for days :-) Here's how it went...Thursday we took Christian to see the Easter Bunny. He was a little unsure of this 10 foot tall bunny (can't really blame him). And with Hayleigh "officially" outgrowing sitting in the Easter Bunny's lap, Christian was on his own! He was a trooper though...no tears!

Then Hayleigh and I made sugar cookies Thursday evening...

We dyed eggs on Friday and then headed to Sweeny...

In Sweeny, we went to the church's annual Easter Egg hunt...complete with a visit from the Easter bunny (thank you John Price!), barrel ride, cotton candy, popcorn and much more! It was a lot of fun...

Thanks to big sis, Christian was able to go for a ride!!!

After the carnival we hunted eggs and ate lunch at Chris and Tab's house...

Then we headed back to The Woodlands for church on Sunday and then to Granny and Grandpa's to hunt more eggs!!!

On to March...our main highlight of March was Christian turning 1! I can hardly believe that a year has gone by (brings a tear to my eye!) We also went camping in New Braunfels for Spring Break...and some much needed relaxation!!! Then we went strawberry picking at King's Orchard...

Christian's 1st Birthday party was Saturday, March 12 (on his actual birthday!) He loves Mickey Mouse, so we decided to go with that for the theme...

8.5 lbs of strawberries later! (You can see here that Christian is ready to go...and he's running over poor Hayleigh!)

On to February now! We are making progress (whew!). February highlights included Christian's baptism, Valentine's Day, and family pictures.

On February 13, Christian was baptized at our church (The Woodlands United Methodist Church). I was a little nervous about how he was going to react, but he did great!

And now for January!!! We started out 2011 in Breckenridge, Colorado...a family ski trip with my parents. We had a great time despite the exhaustion of traveling with a 9-month old and staying in a very non-baby-proof condo!

Here we are leaving the house the day after Christmas. Hayleigh is always in awe when we pass a limo on the road...so Justin decided to surprise her and have one pick us up to take us to the airport.
